They can also be an excellent way to ensure value for money and usually one of the best ways to invest in wines. We can help you navigate the tricky 'en primeur' wine market and make sound investments.
Buying at auction can sometimes be risky; knowing where the wines have originated from and how much one should bid is something we are happy to advise on for any international wine auction. We provide members with support, advice or indeed can act on your behalf on the day.
IMPARTIAL ADVICEIn today’s volatile and unregulated wine market it is easy to become victim of inflated and over priced wines. Sarment has no ties to any wine traders, merchants or distributors, and we have no preference over who you buy your wine from. The advice you receive will always be completely impartial.
The upkeep of your wine cellar is of great importance to us. We will provide you with an annual audit of your primary cellar and report back on key indicators such as market value, bottle conditions, drinking windows, and wine ratings. Thus ensuring you have all the information you need to monitor and maintain the value of your cellar.
MANAGEMENT OF LOGISTICSOur commitment to exceptional service means that you’ll never have to concern yourself with the day-to-day logistics of purchases, transport or paperwork. Your personal sommelier and dedicated account director will take care of everything, leaving you free to enjoy wine when and where you choose.
Deliveries for Sarment members are free in the UK. We use specialist transporters so that delivery conditions can be carefully controlled with the use of temperature tracking chips. If you prefer to store some of your wine purchases with Sarment, we will take care of it at no cost. All wines purchased and stored through Sarment are comprehensively insured by Lloyds of London free of charge.
RELAXED RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICYIf, for some reason, you are not happy with a wine purchase you have made through us we will take back the wine, no questions asked, and credit your personal account.
Whether you are entertaining on an intimate or a grand scale with friends, family or business colleagues, we can help you plan and organize the event - from arranging a chef or waiting staff, to helping you choose the perfect wine. Similarly we can organize your wine to be delivered to your summer home, your ski lodge, your hotel, your yacht, your jet or anywhere you want.
RESTAURANTSWe can look at the wine list and menu before a restaurant visit and guide you through selecting the wines based on your preferences and help with matching the right food for a chosen wine or the other way around. Or you can give your sommelier a call if you need some help.
